[Eames happens to be in a library at the moment (or what appears to be one, in any case), and is walking along the outside line of the shelves, grinning.]

This isn't half bad, really. I could offer a few suggestions, of course, but just the lack of projections means it's cosier than most dreams I've visited.

[ He just smiles at that reaction, to hide the momentary confusion. ] Why don't you tell me?

I'm afraid I can't, which happens to be why I asked. I don't suppose you're trying to pull some kind of prank? [His tone says he's joking, and that he knows just how unlikely it is, but he's perfectly willing to offer it anyway. It would be slightly less outlandish than the existence of a point man doppelgänger, and there aren't too many other options.]

Oh, yeah. I've met him. Nice to have it confirmed, though.

Have you? [To have been a fly on the wall for that meeting.] I imagine that was an experience.

It wasn't so bad. I just thought we had eerily similar voices for a while. Then it was awesome.

[Eames laughs. If he'd any further doubts about this being some kind of trick, they're now fully silenced.]

"Awesome", eh? I suppose that's a better reaction than absolute confusion.

[ He shrugs, shifting himself slightly away from Eames to find the wall or a chair or something. ] Why be confused when you can be excited? I mean, confused without excited.

[The sound of his voice catches him off-guard, and when he looks up, he has to blink a few times to reassure himself that he's not seeing things.]

... What...?

[ The sound of his own voice does similar, except it's curiosity instead of surprise, and he tilts his head toward it. ]

Arthur?

[He nods, slowly. Well, this is weird.]

Yeah. ... And you are?

[ There's a slight pause. Arthur doesn't remember him? ]

Zachary. Zachary Finch.

[antigravitykick]

[At least it wasn't something like "I'm you." Arthur doesn't know if he could really deal with that properly. He's a little wary - the guy knows his name but he doesn't ever remember running into him - but no longer suspicious and stiff.]

Ah. Have we met?

[He shakes his head.]

No, I don't. Sorry.

[ Zachary shrugs. ]

That really doesn't surprise me here. Anyway, how have you been?

[Surprising or not, Arthur doesn't like not being able to remember things. He's still bothered by it, but does his best to ignore it.]

Well enough. I feel like I'm still learning exactly what this is. [Which has nothing to do with the fact that he's stubborn. Oh no.] You?

Just this place. The people. The fact that it isn't a dream. [Or his totem's-- no, no. We're not even remotely entertaining that thought. Nope.]
