Sefton automatically pulled back when Chivy approached, and stared at him for a long moment. He doubted that he could make it back to the hotel under his own power without drawing way too much attention to himself and bumping into too many people along the way. However, there was still the risk of Chivy moving around too much and ending up unintentionally attracting himself. If that happened, Sefton wasn't sure he could deal with the kid constantly showing up and insisting on hanging around him - at this point, he had begun accepting it as long as the status quo was meticulously maintained.

"No sudden movements?" Perhaps it wouldn't make sense without knowing his thought process, but it was still important to check that Chivy could follow his rules.
