[Ben looks around before speaking, but nothing he sees helps — obviously. He doesn't exactly know why or how he got here.]

This is not my hotel. [another look around] Hello? Is there anyone around? It's not that I want to go to the Senate hearing, but I would like to know where I am.

Whose world is it, if it isn't mine? And how did I get here?

It's a... bridge, sort of. Connector. ... Can't really think of a better word. [Narrows eyes, still thinking...] And I don't think anyone really knows how they initially got here. At least, my friends and I don't.

Between what? [If he says "this world and the next", Ben is going to leave. This is all sounding a bit too mystic for him.]

Between... everything. A whole bunch of worlds, I guess. For once, I think I wish Mishen was here to explain.

If it connects them, that means I can leave, yes?

[He nods, pointing to a door of sorts.] That'd probably work, yeah.

The door. [.. uh huh.] And you don't know how I got here in the first place.

[Shakes his head] Don't even know how I first got here. Was a long time ago, though.

But you stayed?

I come and go. [Smiles] Nothing gets hurt in the process, so why not?

What makes this place worth visiting?

Friends, interesting people, somewhere to sit and think when your own world's going to hell or something...

[shakes his head]

I'd rather try to fix whatever's going wrong than just abandon ship. Through this door, you said?

So would I, but some things are out of my control. Don't know if you ever have that problem or not. [He's probably not from a world that's as politically screwed over as Travis's.]
