Although it could certainly have gone better, Wufei couldn't say he regretted his decision to seek out an angel. He had accomplished at least one of his goals — discovering just how much his new powers would assist him in a fight — and had not lost much in the bargain. He would not have minded death at the hands of a worthy opponent, but being abandoned on the ground once defeated was a dishonor he hadn't expected from the angel. Wufei could respect the other's strength, but it seemed that strength had its own core of weakness. For a moment, he thought of the first time he had confronted Treize, but quickly pushed that out of his mind for more important considerations.
He wasn't so injured that he would be unable to return home, although it certainly wouldn't be a pleasant walk. Luckily, he had cast aside his jacket before the fight started, so he was able to cover many of his obvious injuries, and apathy should keep any other curious passersby (not that he thought there would be many) from bothering him. Carefully straightening his jacket and doing his best not to limp, Wufei started in the direction of the apartment complex.
