Ah, for some optimism

[The surroundings have decided to be a cavern at the moment. (The one underneath Hurog, in fact, not that anyone else would recognize it.) Oreg isn't entirely sure what to do with the fact that it looks like it should but he still can't sense the keep, especially since he can't decide if that's a good or a bad thing. He's standing and looking at where the dragon bones should be, arms crossed]

What's the point of this place if nothing here changes anything in the real world?

[If this truly were Hurog, he would be watching her from the safety of invisibility. Here, he doesn't see much point in bothering.]

[He startles her, so she whirls around rather quickly to face him.]

[He smiles for her, trying to look non-threatening.]

No reason to be comfortable, it's not the nicest place.

[The smile is a little reassuring at least. The fact that this apparently isn't a nice place, however, is definitely not.]

What's... not nice about it? I mean, other than the lack of light...

[The smile fades and he looks... older than he should. Worn. But only for the moment it takes for him to bring the smile back]

Nothing, here, since it isn't really the place it mimics. It's hardly nice to be under ground instead of on top of it, though, wouldn't you say?

[She nods.] You're right. I'd much rather be in the sun.

[She places her hand against one of the lit stones, looking at it curiously.] Is this somewhere you have to be? The real place, I mean?

I manage the keep. [which is mostly true, even.] This cavern is underneath Hurog.

A castle. Where I live.

You live in a castle? [Her eyes open a little bit wider.] Wow. And this cavern is underneath that?

It is, yes. Sometimes you can find passageways from here into the castle itself, but not always. [Mostly because it depends on whether he feels like creating said passageways or not.]

Maybe, but I'm willing to bet it's still as pretty. [Smile] I haven't ever visited a castle before.

[This is, of course, because she was taken to Hollow Bastion against her will, and it's not like she remembers anything about it from when she was a young child, either.]

This way, then? [He turns without waiting for an answer and walks over to an opening in the wall that wasn't actually there before, pausing outside it to see if she follows.]

[Of course she follows. She has a guide, and she's going to see a castle! If only Roxas and Axel were here to see it, too...! ♥]

[He steps into the opening and follows the narrow walkway for some time, never hesitating over a turning although the path is confusing if you're not as used to it as he is.]

Might as well go to the main hall...

[She follows as closely as she can manage. She isn't claustrophobic, per se, but she definitely doesn't like dark, cramped spaces that she isn't familiar with. She's pretty sure she can trust this person, though.]

Wow... where else do these tunnels go?

That depends on when you take them. [And with that, they come to what looks like a dead-end. He pauses to press an odd protrusion on the wall... and the wall opens. He steps through into a large, obsidian-walled room. Unlike the walkway and the cavern, this room is lit by torches. There are several long tables on the end of the room they've come into, and a raised area at the other end with one circular table on it.

Oreg stands just to the side of the new door, carefully avoiding looking at the wall opposite where they entered, which has a huge message carved in it in some ancient script. Some things just shouldn't change, even if this is a false copy.]

[She's about to ask what he means by that, but the wall opens into the room, and she's immediately interested.

She carefully walks in, spinning in slow circles as she moves forward in order to take in the whole room, hands clasped together and resting against her chest.]

It's so pretty...! [She says with a smile.]

[As soon as she's through, the wall slides back into place, leaving no sign of where they entered. Oreg doesn't leave his position near where the hole was, though, just watching her.]

It's only the great hall.

Well, if the other rooms are even more impressive, then I can't wait to see them!

[Her smile grows, and then she finds the markings on the opposite wall. Curious, her head tilts to one side and she moves closer.]
