[Riku's far too used to musespace doing strange things, and with all this talk of tropics, palm trees, beaches... he should have expected this. He didn't, though.

He was seriously just trying to teleport back to his house, having just finished a long day at work for the guild, but no. He's somehow managed to end up in the lobby of a huge, five-star hotel that... well, from the looks of it, seems to be set on a tropical island. In fact, the ocean is in plain view right out the back window.

He sighs heavily, one hand on his hip.]

No point complaining. I wonder how long I'm stuck here...

[Yep, off-balance here. So with a "sploosh!" Riku ends up on his hands and knees momentarily. ... But still snickering.]

Fine, alright, just stop trying to hit me and I'll help.

[He shoves water in Riku's face, only to have another wave drench Roxas completely. All of his hair gives up the ghost and simply flattens against his head, making it impossible to see.] Ggh—!

[Ffff-- right in his mouth dsflkdjs. He coughs a little, but recovers quickly enough and keeps his hold on Roxas's arm. One more attempt to help him up...]

[Riku has a good grip on him this time, and though Roxas flails a bit, he seems to settle down enough to realize which way is up.

Pant, pant.]

Stupid water... trying to kill me or something.

[Riku rolls his eyes.]

I doubt that. Just don't trip next time.

It's not like I can see where my feet are that deep down.

[Shaaakes his head.]

You get used to it. [He coughs up a little more water, then runs a hand through his hair.]

[Roxas hmphs. He's soaked from head to toe, but he doesn't mind too much. It's all the water he swallowed that makes his life more difficult.

Meh. He turns and starts back towards the beach.]

[Riku does the same, still coughing a little, agitated by the salt that's burning his nostrils. Just because he loves the ocean doesn't mean he's actually been to one in a while.

He takes a seat where the dry sand and the wet sand meet, and tries to wring some of the water out of his hair.]

[Roxas shakes his head fiercely, trying to do the same. It fluffs out but tries to imitate its former shape. He gives up and flops down.

The wet sand is interesting. He catches himself squeezing the sand with his bare toes to watch the water fill up afterward.]

... It's so weird.

So is the idea of falling off the edge of the world.

[He halfways glances over at Roxas, wondering what he'll have to say to that.]

[Roxas shoots him a glare.] But it's true. The only way to go between islands is by using magic or an airship. Otherwise you fall into the mist and never come back.

[Looks like it's Riku's turn to be clueless/curious.]

So what's the mist? Or, what's in it?

[Roxas pulls a knee to his chest and tries to wring out his pant leg.]

Broken islands. Monsters. Dark magic. I haven't seen any of it for myself, but Sora went down there once.
