[Desiree is feeling very unsettled. Currently, she's standing in what seems to look an awful lot like her bedroom, but she knows it isn't. There are two reasons this isn't her room: One, she doesn't have that many pillows on her bed - she used to, but not anymore. 2) Only seconds ago, she was in a dressing room at a high-end clothing store. So how did she get here...?

She hears something (Someone? You?) moving in the hallway outside. She squeezes into the space between the open door and the wall, wincing a bit when the door's hinges creeeeaak loudly. Still, she positions herself where she can peer through the crack. She waits and watches - and if danger is approaching, she knows exactly how she's getting the heck out of here...]

[A kid? Not what she was expecting at all. She shifts, peeking out from behind the door, and frowns a little.]

[She completely moves out from behind the door and brushes off her skirt before leaning and craning her neck a bit to see if anyone is in the hallway behind him, or maybe coming their way.]

Um. Well, I'm trying to find my brother because I'm staying with him but I haven't seen him here yet and this place isn't familiar and I don't know. [ He lets that out all in one breath, then looks up at her, tipping his head a little. ] Do you know where this is? Did someone take us to their home when I was asleep?

No, I don't know where this is. They sure went out of their way to make it look just like my bedroom, though. It's weird.

I think we should get out of here. Maybe we can find your brother, too. What do you think?

Uh huh. We should. Um. If you're not like the ladies who were gonna eat me. [ She doesn't seem like one, though. There has always been something mean and cold about Sophie and Cleo each time he's seen them, and this lady doesn't have that. ]

Eat you? [Is this some sort of kids' game? She laughs a bit, torn between slightly amused and... well, yeah, kind of unsettled.] Of course I'm not going to eat you! Did someone really try that?

Well, I don't know who Miss Cleo is, but she's not here. And if we do see her, and she tries to eat you again, I'll take care of her. [Have a small, yet winning and encouraging smile.]

De-sir-ee. [ It's a new name, though a lot of human names are new to him. He smiles at her. ] Nice to meet you too. Um. Where should we go to get out of here?

You can call me Desi for short if you want. As for where to go... [She puts her hands on her hips and looks around, thinking.] Let's try the obvious first. The front door.

Desi. Okay! [ It's partially a defense mechanism. But it's also a lot just... Conrit. Hard to imagine something this cute is related to Ladon... ] If it's not open maybe we can kick it. That's what my brother does.

[Too bad it doesn't need a kick... but it's also too bad that it doesn't seem be much of an escape either. On the other side of the door frame is empty white space.
