[Duo was trying to be serious. Honest. It's a serious matter, to have the Angels threatening their security to the point where he was going to stay with Heero. But... well, it was a very good reason to hang out with Heero. He'd taken the chance to swing by the grocery for some peeps and toothpicks, as well as a few other goodies. Who knew what Heero would have for snacking purposes? And, of course, he'd brought the useful stuff. Hell if he was giving Heero a reason to yell at him, and hell if he was going to make it any easier for the Angels than it had to be.

Arms occupied with way too much stuff, he used his head— to knock on the door.]

Heero, buddy, open the door. Maybe you should invest in a push-in door. [another knock] So I could, you know, push it. You'd probably still lock it, though. Meaning my pushing still wouldn't do anything. [knock! Okay, that one was a little too hard. Ow. He'd be putting a hand to his head, if he could get one out of the bags]

[Sure enough, Heero returns with two beers, setting one beside Duo. He looks at the screen and blinks.] ... Didn't think that would happen. [He sits back down on the couch. He'll handle it if Duo gives the controller back, but otherwise, he's cool with watching.]

Sure you didn't. [Duo is mid-battle or he would give it back. As it is, he's abusing the sp meter and coming very close to damaging the merchants] Out of my way, out of my way.

[Heero blinks at the screen.] ... Careful. And calm down.

Hey, I'm calm. [Right, Duo. He's cutting back on the spell usage but that has nothing to do with you, Yuy. :| He's just having more fun with the sword, really.]

[... Uh huh.] Just don't wear everything down too fast. I don't know how long this quest takes. [More beer~]

I'd rather run out than get to the end and know I could've done more. [He shrugs. Gaming techniques isn't worth arguing over, and he's just wiped out the last of the bandits on this map~ He stops in front of the warp to the next area, and turns to Heero] ... You want to take the forest?

[He shrugs. Someone has to do it, right?] Yeah, sure.

[Have a controller. Duo takes this opportunity to finish off his first bottle, and then get started on his second. He also decides he actually wants to sit on the couch, and moves accordingly~] Gee, what a scary, menacing forest. I hope nothing terrible happens inside.

[Heero rolls his eyes.] Of course it will. [Nothing of consequence, nothing of consequence, still nothing of--]

Balverine. [Tries to attack it, but it runs (???)] .... Hm. [Narrows his eyes as he watches the cutscene] Take him with us? ... ....... [Goddammit, morals...! He's waffling.]

He's going to turn out evil, watch. [thoughtful noise, as he takes another mouthful of beer] Might get more out of the quest if you take him. And brownie points, duh.

[He nods firmly.] Right. And the problem won't be anything I can't handle. [Because he's already decided that something is going to happen. He's been gaming far too long to think otherwise.]

Of course it won't. [That comment is completely serious.] Wonder if you'll get any scars out of this.

[He shakes his head.] I'm going to try to avoid that. ... Though if they don't stop running off, I'm not going to get much out of this quest. [He rolls his eyes, but keeps going anyway...]

You could always get some evil points if you kill 'em.

I'm trying to avoid that at the moment, actually. [He's amused, though.

And now they're stopping for camp. Cue Heero being OCD and making sure everything he can restock is at an even number.]

[Duo can't help laughing — and teasing] It's cheaper if you wait it out, you know.

Not necessarily. All things considered, the same amount is spent, whether you spend it all at once when you run out or you spend it a bit at a time by replacing habitually. [He finishes that up and leaves the camp. Back to walking...]

Whatever, man. 's not like you're going to need all of that before you get back to town.

No, but it's the same here as it is there. [He shrugs a shoulder.

And when things start getting weird in-game, he narrows his eyes. When he realizes what the hell is going on, he curses in Japanese and rolls his eyes.] I should have seen that coming.

[snickering] Could've saved yourself some trouble if you killed him when you found him.

I'm aware. However, that doesn't help me right now. [Kicking ass now, please hold.]

Those merchants better have something damn valuable to sell, going through crazy werewolf/balverine woods. [Hmm. Bottle's almost empty. Duo makes a face at it, and then decides he should be focusing on the television instead.]

I want to know why they chose this particular road. I'm sure there's another. [He's kind of annoyed. That, plus epic fight omg, equals frustration. This turns into more ass-kicking, and overall, it's quite a sight. ♥] You get the controller back after this.

Like there's anything but walking after the epic battle. [rolls his eyes, but he's enjoying watching]

Whatever. I'm still done for now. [Of course, he says this as he rips the last balverine to shreds. He then drops the controller in Duo's lap and reaches for his beer, thank you very much.]
