[Riku's far too used to musespace doing strange things, and with all this talk of tropics, palm trees, beaches... he should have expected this. He didn't, though.
He was seriously just trying to teleport back to his house, having just finished a long day at work for the guild, but no. He's somehow managed to end up in the lobby of a huge, five-star hotel that... well, from the looks of it, seems to be set on a tropical island. In fact, the ocean is in plain view right out the back window.
He sighs heavily, one hand on his hip.]
No point complaining. I wonder how long I'm stuck here...

Of course. He's pretty blockheaded, but he knows when he needs help.
[He feels himself tense at the mention of Kairi being taken, but remembers that the Kairi he knows is safe and sound. Still, reflexes are reflexes. He relaxes as well as he can, though. He nods, his smirk long gone by this point, back to business.]
Yeah. I remember that.

So this has happened before? On your world, I mean.

It— [he totally wasn't considering that, nope] —it doesn't matter! It's going to end differently for me anyway.
[He huffs a bit and turns back to the beach.]
no subject
Yeah. You won't disappear. Especially if you're even a little bit as stubborn as I think you are.
[He follows Roxas's gaze to the beach, finally, and shakes his head.] You could always go out there. Get a closer look.
no subject
You mean it's safe?
[He's actually being serious. ajkldjfjf]
no subject
Yeah. Completely safe. Just don't go out into the water so far that you can't swim, or something.
no subject
... Yeah. I have to look.
[Roxas strips off his Organization coat as he goes. By the time he's actually hit the wet sand, the coat and boots have been ditched in a line following him to shore. He gasps as his bare feet hit the water, and is momentarily distracted by the shapes that foam makes when confronted by ankles.]
no subject
By the time he gets to the water, his boots have been discarded, but he apparently doesn't mind wet jeans. Probably natural for someone who grew up on an island, after all.]
no subject
It just goes on forever...
no subject
Definitely seems like it, huh? [He's looking out over the water, but his focus is on something farther than just the horizon. Oceans always bring about such mixed feelings for him...]
no subject
It all began like this, didn't it...?
[He holds up his hand to the sun and watches the water drip off.]
I don't know if I could've left the islands with everything that I was taught. But it'd always be out there. If I didn't see it for myself, maybe someday I—
[SPLASH. A particularly big wave knocks Roxas underwater for a second. He pops back up, then gets a sort of determined look on his face and tries to stand up. STOMP STOMP STOMP-- that was a bad idea, though, and suddenly he's under the water again, arms and legs akimbo.
IT'S FLAAAAAAAAAAIL TIIIIIIIME.]

When Roxas goes down the second time, he laughs. A lot. He knows he shouldn't, but dang, that's so amusing.
He does go over and grab one of Roxas's flailing arms, though, trying to help tug the guy back onto his feet. (Yes, he's still laughing)]
no subject
It's— [gurgle PBBBTTTSPIT] —not funny!
no subject
Fine, alright, just stop trying to hit me and I'll help.

Pant, pant.]
Stupid water... trying to kill me or something.
no subject
I doubt that. Just don't trip next time.

You get used to it. [He coughs up a little more water, then runs a hand through his hair.]
no subject
Meh. He turns and starts back towards the beach.]
no subject
He takes a seat where the dry sand and the wet sand meet, and tries to wring some of the water out of his hair.]
no subject
The wet sand is interesting. He catches himself squeezing the sand with his bare toes to watch the water fill up afterward.]
... It's so weird.
no subject
[He halfways glances over at Roxas, wondering what he'll have to say to that.]
