Overworking. As usual.

[Heero is studying... when he doesn't even have to be studying. This test does not count. This test is only to see what he already knows before the teacher gets on with the school year. And yet, he feels he has to make a perfect score on this test.

Right.

It's been three hours, so Heero decides it's time for a break. He opens his laptop, types in his password, and then goes to his fridge to get a drink...

You aren't seriously studying for a pretest?

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
Man, there's no way you'll ace the thing no matter how much time you spend drilling yourself. They put crap on there that you probably won't know 'til you've taken the next level class.

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Why? So you can screw up the curve for everybody else?

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:03 am (UTC)(link)
If it's supposed to test what you already know and you're studying for it, doesn't that mean you're cheating?

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:08 am (UTC)(link)
Gotta try something, nothing's getting through to you. You're seriously not meant to ace those tests. Hell, they probably don't expect most students to pass the things. Besides, if I know you, I'm betting you already know it without looking back over it.

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I'm so glad you believe me.

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:14 am (UTC)(link)
Ding! I've just gotta remember flattery works better than logic.

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, you tell me. It all sounds like sense before I say it.

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, or maybe you're just not listening. I can't be the only one with problems.

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:25 am (UTC)(link)
The hell was that tone?

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:32 am (UTC)(link)
Right. That's it. You need to be distracted. You've got three options, Yuy, do you want to pick or do you want me to pick for you? [gets up and starts going through the bag that didn't have the food in it]

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:36 am (UTC)(link)
Howie got me a few car model kits that I haven't felt like putting together by myself, so I've got those, and I brought a few movies and popcorn. Option three is getting out of your apartment totally, and that's got lots of suboptions that I don't feel like listing. [He's setting out little bottles of paint and glue from in the bag, as if to demonstrate that he's got the stuff with him.]

[identity profile] maxwellian.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
[Yes, models successfully avoided. He's still pulling stuff out, but now it's under the guise of getting at the movies. He lists them as he pulls them out]

One of the Bourne movies, an Indiana Jones, the oldschool Star Wars... [A pause for more rummaging] The Matrix and, um, a few Jim Carrey movies. [He folds up the bag since it's empty now] I'd have tried for newer stuff, but I just grabbed some of Howard's DVDs. Hell, if you don't like any of these I can go run to Blockbuster.
