Overworking. As usual.

[Heero is studying... when he doesn't even have to be studying. This test does not count. This test is only to see what he already knows before the teacher gets on with the school year. And yet, he feels he has to make a perfect score on this test.

Right.

It's been three hours, so Heero decides it's time for a break. He opens his laptop, types in his password, and then goes to his fridge to get a drink...]

[He thinks over each of the options.] No Jim Carrey, don't like Indiana Jones, just watched Star Wars last week... the others are alright. I also have a few movies, if that makes any difference. There's no need to go to Blockbuster.

It's been a while since I've seen it, I don't remember exactly. I just recall not liking any of the characters, and the plot wasn't that interesting. [He shrugs a shoulder.] I remember the effects and the action being alright, though.

Because, oh, I don't know, it's one of the best movie series ever. But I guess some people have different taste.

Which I do. So we won't be watching it tonight. [He gives Duo an ever-so-slight glare of warning.]

[He shakes his head.] No preference. I suppose I trust your judgment well enough. [shade of a smile]

I'll try not to let it go to my head. [But he's laughing, not being sarcastic.] Bourne, then?

Alright. Which one is it? [He eyes the rest of his Chinese -- he wants to finish it, but there's popcorn, too... oh well. He takes two more bites before closing the box.]

Identity. How about I go pop the popcorn and you set it up? [He tosses the DVD case to Heero]

[He catches it and goes over to the DVD player to do so.] Sure. Dishwasher is clean if you need a bowl.

[Unfortunately, Heero's DVD player is old. The drive likes to randomly jam, the input cables like to randomly not work, and if both of those are actually operational, it just gives some error before shutting itself down. Tonight, the issue is actually with the power button. ... And it's enough that he starts quietly cursing at it in Japanese.]

[Duo pokes the microwave into starting and then sits and watches the bag spin... He gives up on that after about fifteen seconds to snag the bowl, but goes back to watching.]

[It takes about that long for Heero to argue the DVD player into submission, but he does manage. He sits on the couch and waits for the previews to finish.

His cellphone suddenly begins ringing. Loudly. As he digs it out of his pocket, he begins trying to think of who could possibly be calling him... Duo's already over here, after all...]

[Duo pokes his head into the room, abandoning the popcorn for the moment]

You're getting a call?

Apparently. [He blinks at the name on the front screen, stands and goes over near the window.] I don't think this will take long. [He flips his phone open.]

Yeah? [a pause, presumably for the other person to speak... and he starts making a face that suggests annoyance.] Why does it matter how I answer? ... [A roll of his eyes] What do you want?

[At least his phone manners don't change. Duo takes a moment to grab the now-done popcorn, and walks over by Heero, tossing some of it into his mouth as he listens.]

I'm not studying. [He brings his free hand to his forehead, already looking exasperated.] If you feel like validating yourself that way, then that's your own issue, not mine. [A longer pause.. and then, he actually looks surprised.] ... I already have plans tonight. .... Yeah. Next week, then, at some point. [... And then back to aggravated.] A movie. With a friend. I told you, I'm not st--.... I do have friends, actually.
