[Duo was trying to be serious. Honest. It's a serious matter, to have the Angels threatening their security to the point where he was going to stay with Heero. But... well, it was a very good reason to hang out with Heero. He'd taken the chance to swing by the grocery for some peeps and toothpicks, as well as a few other goodies. Who knew what Heero would have for snacking purposes? And, of course, he'd brought the useful stuff. Hell if he was giving Heero a reason to yell at him, and hell if he was going to make it any easier for the Angels than it had to be.

Arms occupied with way too much stuff, he used his head— to knock on the door.]

Heero, buddy, open the door. Maybe you should invest in a push-in door. [another knock] So I could, you know, push it. You'd probably still lock it, though. Meaning my pushing still wouldn't do anything. [knock! Okay, that one was a little too hard. Ow. He'd be putting a hand to his head, if he could get one out of the bags]

[Duo's going to act like an idiot and wander to all corners of the map] Hey, any balverines out there? [The music is not being menacing music, and the merchants are saying things like "Are we there yet?"]

[Heero watches, shaking his head.] Good thing they don't penalize you for time. [That 2nd beer's going down pretty fast...]

Just making sure you didn't miss anything. [Makes his way over to the warp — where he finds himself in another battle, this time with glowy green fairy things] Hey, no fair.

Do I usually miss things? [It's going down really fast, actually...]

The fun ones, sure. [distracted comment, that, he's having some trouble with the fairies.. at least they're not going after the merchants]

[He rolls his eyes.] Whatever, Duo. [And the second one's done. He gets up.] Another for you?

Dammit, stay still. [Heeee's distracted.]

[Heero shrugs, getting Duo another beer anyway and setting it next to him like before. He sort of looks his own bottle over when he sits down.]

... I didn't really plan to drink tonight.

[Duo's figured out that you can hit them with arrows, so he's.... mostly missing, but getting in a few hits that way.]

What'd you plan on doing?

... I didn't think we would be finished with hiding so soon. I.. guess I didn't really have any plans. [He's taking this third one a little slower. Not like his alcohol tolerance is anything impressive, after all...]

... Having fun?

It'd be more fun if it would stay still. Hah! Much better. [moving on from the annoying glowy things...] This's a better way to spend time, right?

[He actually laughs a little ~~thanks to the alcohol?~~ and shakes his head.] Sitting in the dark isn't fun, Duo.

I'm glad we agree there. Alright! The door's just up— [mini-earthquake on screen, once the dust clears you can see the rounded mound of a golem] Aaah, what the hell?

[Heero blinks at the screen.] ... Damn. ... Good luck, Duo.

Dammit. Okay. You two are not coming up there. [goes back down the hill with the merchants] Sit and stay. Good merchants. [aaand back up to get rocks thrown at him. Such fun!]

[Heero is quite amused.] At least they're listening. ... Sort of.

[So when you die? A resurrection phial gets used, meaning you come back where you were standing with a glowy-rainbow effect, and the battle doesn't even have to stop. ... Yeah, Duo just died.] You should be running out of rocks by now!! [Bashing the thing from close range with an axe probably isn't the best idea, though]

[After a few more sips, he goes back to paying attention.] .... Maybe try something else.

[grumbles] "Something else", he says. [runs back down the hill and behind a tree so the golem stops throwing things] Let's try arrows..

[Heero... honestly has no idea what will work, but distance at least seems like a good idea.]

Just stay out of its range at all costs.

[He stays with that until the thing's at about a quarter health, and then decides that's taking too long. Another run forward, swerving out of the way of rocks as he goes, with his axe raised] Bonzai!

[That gets another faint laugh out of Heero. He shakes his head.] Don't die too much.

I'm trying not to. Shitshitshit, stop stunning me! [dodging around and mostly getting rocks dropped on his head D:]

You can manage. It's almost dead anyway, right?

[Speaking of... It finally dies.] Hah! [The merchants come running up of their own accord, babbling their thanks to "Hero"] It can't be much farther, can it?
